Why I chose to be an RMT

Prior to studying massage I was working in the food service industry and running my own Latin dance company.  I suffered a severe ankle sprain which affected my ability to work and made me question what I was doing with my life. I was not given any advice on how to take care of my ankle and after a couple months of suffering I decided to see a physiotherapist. This sparked my interest in healthcare so I looked at the options and massage was the obvious answer! I had an amazing RMT that helped me through other injuries and was my inspiration. She had great hands-on skills, as well as effective communication during our sessions, which I believe is key to great results!

An RMT since 2016

Since graduating my practice has mostly focused on stress-induced muscle tension, headaches, the occasional strain injury, and a large part on the perinatal population.  A couple years in I became interested in how massage can help with TMD/TMJD, as well as breast and pelvic health.

What brought me to FTNU

TMJ work has fascinated me for a few years now and I wanted to expand on this part of my practice and knowledge. It is so rewarding to help patients towards a better quality of
life through touch, education
and self-care.
